did u use a remote flash for this? if you did, you set it up brilliantly...no hot spots, no crappy shadows. it looks like you actually thought it out instead of just sticking the flash somwhere random and snappin shutters....like most of the crap PODS this month...and if you didnt use the remote flash....even more brilliant. awesome lighting..super clear.

my gut says no remote....but its super clear. nice shot.

how is this good use of a remote flash? u got a hotspot in the pic.

im sick of remote flashes in every POD. They give the picture a fake, mass produced feel. Sure it lets you read the label on the guys underwear once the shot is taken..but who cares? I challenege pinkbike to go one week in putting up PODS that dont have obvious use of a remote flash. Theyre way abused in MTBin photog.

whatever happened to knowing how to take pictures? the problem with this pic is, even though it's legit, its fake. What i mean is that sure the kid on the bike hit the corner and a phto was snapped, but its been seriously doctored...Kinda like a boob job. Sure they look good, but someting just aint right and we know its fake. Thats the problem with this pic. the combined placement of the remote flash (which was poorly in a poorly selected location, giving two distinct set of shadows during a daytime shot) and the photoshop-job lead to a confused viewer.....thus rendering it as having a fake presentation. and really....whats the point of that?

yea.....theyre near 2nd. next to emily carr college. not enough of a grade to really flow properly. i got my eyes on a new spot....might start this winter digging them. but i got other projects on the go on the shore that are a little more important

This isnt about me and my photography skills. Its about the POD. Its not a great shot. Its a boring action shot. There aint a hell of a lot going on. So he's drifting a berm. It really aint that great a drift, or berm...and justbecause someone is idead centre of a shot hardly makes it a great photo. learn to read what I wrote... and not to interpret it how you like. Its a crisp clear shot....sure. I said that. I even said lescart's a great photog. But not every shot he takes is pod worthy. It's all about the shot and this isnt a pod-worthy shot. No need to insult me. Shows a little insight into how you think when you feel you need to insult me to make your point more effective.

negative opinions are a part of life. They challenge you to do better. without negative opinions we'da ll end up living like smurfs tripin out on shrooms all day long thinking it was a wonderful world..blissful ignorance is great. But this is reality and this pod BLOWS.

no hating going on. Just saying it aint pod worthy and pointing out why i think that. Sure the quality of the photo is good..lescart always nails the photo....but he may as well have taken a shot of a guy sitting on the can....theres nothing exciting happening in this pic, and what is happening isnt great riding.

no remote flash on this shot and it looks awesome....or if there was a flash, it was set up perfect. No glare, no hotspots....looks natural. Not like todays POD.
